Dear students:

The UO Division of Global Engagement invites you to attend an info session on Fulbright Fellowships. Fulbright offers a wide range of awards, including substantial funding for international research in any field, teaching English abroad, pursuing graduate studies in a foreign university, and other opportunities. On Tuesday February 19, we will go over the US Student Fulbright Fellowships in detail, including the application process, requirements, eligibility, and campus process.

Here is a more comprehensive list of the different types of Fulbright awards available:

  * Fellowships to pursue a year of master's level graduate study in another country
  * Funding to conduct international research to support a master’s thesis, doctoral dissertation, or an independent project
  * English Teaching Assistantships: teaching or co-teaching English as a second language
  * Awards to pursue projects or formal study in the creative arts
  * A few countries have other specialized awards, such as business internships in Mexico and professional journalism in the Netherlands.

The Fulbright Info Session will take place on:
Tuesday February 19
260 Condon Hall
4-5:30pm

Who can apply for Fulbright?
1. Current undergraduate students who will receive their bachelor’s degree by June 2020 in order to begin a Fulbright Fellowship during the 2020-21 academic year
2. Current and future graduate students enrolled in a Masters or Doctoral program.
3. Applicants must be US citizens

The campus deadline is mid-September 2019.

If you are interested in applying for a Fulbright, but you cannot attend the February 19 info session, please let us know. We will send you the presentation slides, and we can find a time to meet. Also, we will have additional info sessions and workshops in early April and May on how to write successful Fulbright essays. More information on that later.
