Subject: [DIV17DISCUSS] Call for Contributions: Spring 2018 SAW Newsletter
Hello Division 17 members,
I am the editor of WomanView, the official newsletter of the APA Society of Counseling Psychology's Section for the Advancement of Women (SAW). I'm writing again to invite SAW members and potential members to submit artwork, poetry, other creative pieces, or essays for the Fall edition of WomanView. You can view past editions of WomanView at http://www.div17.org/sections/advancement-of-women/newsletter/. Articles may be about professional or personal issues relevant to SAW members. In this issue, I would like to highlight members' experiences current activist movements, such as #metoo, #neveragain, and Black Lives Matter. However, I welcome submissions on other topics relevant to SAW as well. Articles/essays are generally 500-1,000 words in length. In addition to essays, I am very interested in showcasing other types of creative work related to topics relevant to WomanView's readership, so artwork, poetry, etc. are also welcome. I would like to publish the Spring 2018 edition of WomanView in late April or early May. If you are interested in contributing to the Spring newsletter, please let me know by March 30th. I would like to have all contributions submitted by April 13th to allow time for editing.
In addition to essays and creative work, WomanView also likes to highlight recent achievements and accomplishments of SAW members. If you have big news that you would like to share with WomanView readers, such as a job change or promotion, publication, award, new license, or a personal announcement, please let me know by April 13th so that I can include it and we can celebrate you.
For more information and to get or stay involved with SAW, please visit our website at http://www.div17.org/sections/advancement-of-women/ and like our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/SawDiv17APA.
I welcome any and all feedback about WomanView and look forward to bringing you this semester's issue!
Warmly,
Morgan Grotewiel
