Dr. Jessica Vasquez-Tokos<http://sociology.uoregon.edu/profile/vasquezj/>, Associate Professor at University of Oregon, is looking to interview folks on the topic of race and belonging in the U.S. for a study she's doing. Essentially, she's curious about how people of varying racial backgrounds perceive their status in the U.S. and how that matters to them (or not). Interviews tend to take 1 1/2 to 2 hours and she can meet at a convenient place for you (Corvallis/Eugene area). She can also offer you $30 as a thank you for your time. I participated last week with her and she's great! She is, however, also specifically looking for folks from a "working class" background and/or those without a college degree (or not currently pursuing one), so if you know anyone from the community that fits those profiles, please do share this with them.
