cpsylist: Upcoming: Friendly Faculty vs. Students Beaver Freezer Triathlon

Hi all,

Signups for the Beaver Freezer Sprint Triathlon are coming up soon! Both 
faculty and students will be competing in this annual program tradition.

Registration starts February 1st at noon and sells out quickly.

The race is Saturday, April 7th in Corvallis, OR. Afterwards, we will go 
out for lunch and beers.

It's a short race (500yd swim, 12 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run) and a 
pool swim, so it should be very beginner friendly. If you have never 
done a triathlon before, this would be a good time to start training. 
You can also consider a relay option if you are not comfortable with the 
entire distance-- just find a team member or two! Finally, you can 
volunteer if you want to come out and support your peers but don't want 
to do the race itself.
