This e-mail describes how to obtain ranking instructions for the Match as well as how to access the lists of registered internship programs and applicants:

RANKING INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICANTS AND INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS:  Instructions on how to submit rankings and receive Match results are sent as PDF documents by e-mail from National Matching Services Inc. to all registered applicants and to Training Directors of all registered internship programs.  If you registered for the Match on or before January 12, you should have already received your instructions; if you registered after January 12, your instructions will be sent within 3 business days following your registration (excluding weekends and holidays).  Please contact NMS directly if you do not receive your instructions by e-mail within the indicated time frame.  Instructions are also available on the Match web site, as described below.

The password that you previously provided in the NMS Match System (e.g., when you registered) will be required to submit your rankings for the Match and to access your Match result and other restricted information in the NMS Match System.  Be sure that you KEEP YOUR PASSWORD CONFIDENTIAL -- to prevent use by unauthorized individuals (yes, it has happened).

INFORMATION FOR DCTs:  In early December, doctoral program DCTs were sent a PDF document via e-mail that described how to access the list of students from their programs who are registered for the Match, and how to obtain their students’ Match results.  Please be sure that you have reviewed those instructions and have verified the accuracy of your students’ Match registrations.  In addition, you may wish to review the ranking instructions provided to students on the Match web site, as described below.

ONLINE RANKING INSTRUCTIONS:  NMS has posted complete information for both applicants and internship programs on preparing and entering Rank Order Lists on the APPIC Internship Matching Program web site:

natmatch.com/psychint<http://natmatch.com/psychint>

Click on either "Applicants" or "Internships" (whichever is appropriate for you) from the menu at the top of the screen, then choose "Rankings".  This information includes comprehensive user guides for using the NMS Match System.

The online NMS Match system will be available during Phase I of the Match for submitting or changing Rank Order Lists and related information from January 22, 2018 through February 7, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

LISTS OF REGISTERED INTERNSHIPS AND APPLICANTS:  The following lists are available via the Match web site (natmatch.com/psychint<http://natmatch.com/psychint>):

1.  FOR EVERYONE:  A list of programs that are participating in the Match may be accessed by clicking on the button for "Participating Internships" on the home page of the Match web site.

2.  FOR USE BY INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS ONLY:  An up-to-date list of applicants who have registered for the Match is available to training sites in the NMS Match System.  Information about the list is provided on the Match web site: click on "Internships" from the menu at the top of the screen, choose "Applications", then scroll down to the section on "List of Registered Applicants".

3.  FOR USE BY DCTs ONLY:  An up-to-date list of your students who are registered for the Match is available to DCTs in the NMS Match System.  Information about the list is provided on the Match web site: click on "Doctoral Programs" from the menu at the top of the screen, then choose "List of Students".
