Sharing our terrific news-we have been re-accredited by the APA for another 10 years!

This is an amazing accomplishment by our entire community and supporting administration and staff in the college.  We have much to be proud of---thank you to everyone for your contributions to this massive effort!!

We will organize a celebratory event in the Fall to mark this achievement-stay tuned for details.

All,

I just opened the letter in my mailbox from the American Psychological Association dated August 20 and marked CONFIDENTIAL, which concluded, "I am pleased to inform you that the CoA voted to reaffirm accreditation of the program, with its next site visit scheduled to be held in 2028."

This ten-year approval cycle indicates that the multi-decade record of excellence for Counseling Psychology has only strengthened.  Congratulations to Benedict McWhirter and Elizabeth Skowron who led the accreditation renewal effort inclusive of site visit and report, Emily and other staff who pitched in on all matters of preparation, Julie Wren, and the long-term faculty who built the foundation that we stand on today.
