Good morning! The AAPI is the internship application form. Please start transferring your materials! I hate to be the bearer of tension-producing news, but some sites have an Octover 31 deadline, which creeps up fast with UO's late September start.

Message from the AAPI Online Coordinator, Dr. Kimberly Hill (kimberlyhill at stanford.edu<mailto:kimberlyhill at stanford.edu>)
This message contains information about three important topics related to the AAPI Online application process:
1. AAPI Online now available for students
2. AAPI Online enhancements for 2018-2019
3. Accessing instructions and help for AAPI Online
-----
AAPI ONLINE NOW AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS
The APPIC Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the APPIC Application for Psychology Internships (AAPI Online) is available (https://portal.appicas.org/applicants19/index.cgi) for students. Students may now access the Applicant Portal for the AAPI Online to create and develop internship applications for the 2018-2019 selection process.
The AAPI Online must be used by students to apply to all APPIC-member internship programs as well as those non-member programs that participate in the APPIC Match. All applications must be submitted online, and no site may request a printed copy of a student's application materials. The use of the AAPI Online to apply to programs that are not participating in the APPIC Match is prohibited. Students should be aware that each internship program establishes its own eligibility requirements and application deadline date for Phase I of the Match. Students should reference the APPIC Directory Online (https://membership.appic.org/directory/search) and each individual internship program’s public materials for this information.
Academic Directors of Clinical Training (DCTs) and individuals who provide references (e.g., faculty, supervisors) will have access to the AAPI Online ONLY AFTER students reach the point in the application process when they request DCT verification and/or references. All individuals who provide references for students are to use the revised Standardized Reference Form (SRF), which may be found at http://www.appic.org/AAPI-APPA. The Selection Portal, used by internship Training Directors to access and review applications, will be accessible beginning October 3, 2018.

AAPI ONLINE ENHANCEMENTS FOR 2018-2019
Each year, APPIC plans improvements and any needed modifications to the AAPI Online. A brief description of the enhancements implemented for this cycle may be found here:
https://www.appic.org/Portals/0/downloads/AAPI_Enhancements_2019.pdf
APPIC welcomes feedback about the AAPI Online and suggested enhancements. Comments for consideration may be directed to the AAPI Online Coordinator, Dr. Kimberly Hill (kimberlyhill at stanford.edu<mailto:kimberlyhill at stanford.edu>).

ACCESSING INSTRUCTIONS AND HELP FOR AAPI ONLINE
Detailed instructions for the AAPI Online may be found on the APPIC website at https://www.appic.org/Portals/0/downloads/AAPI_Online_2018-2019_Instructions_Manual.pdf. The relevant subsections are also embedded in the AAPI Online, accessible using the Instructions button at the top right of the screen for each section. These instructions are very thorough and typically address the vast majority of applicant questions; applicants are strongly advised to carefully review this information.
Still need help with the AAPI Online after reviewing the instructions?
