My name is Nelson Zounlome. I am a doctoral student in the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology at Indiana University working under the advisement of Dr. Kerrie G. Wilkins-Yel. We are conducting a study that seeks to understand the unique experiences of students of color attending predominantly White institutions (PWIs), the challenges faced, and the methods utilized to overcome them.This study has been approved by the Indiana University IRB (#1712607937).

We would like to invite your participation in this anonymous online survey. You will be asked to answer a series of questions that should take approximately 20 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, you will have the opportunity to enter into a drawing for a 1 in 20 chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card. Taking part in this study is voluntary and the responses provided on this survey will not be directly linked to you at any time.

The information that is acquired from this study may give us some insight into the unique barriers faced by students of color at PWIs as well as methods used to facilitate persistence. This in turn could increase our understanding of the influential factors on psychological well-being and academic success.
