I support all students regardless of immigration status or country of origin. As a member of the UO Dreamers Working Group, I support Dreamer students and promote their sense of belonging and safety as they pursue their higher education goals. For more information and resources please visit our Dreamers page (https://blogs.uoregon.edu/dreamers/) and the Immigration FAQs page (http://international.uoregon.edu/immigration_faq ). Remember, when interacting with faculty, staff, and offices around campus you are never required to reveal your status.

Subject: [DIV17DISCUSS] Join or renew SCUCC Membership

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Section on College and University Counseling Centers (SCUCC) Executive Counsel, this information is being sent regarding SCUCC membership. I apologize for any cross posting.

Based on feedback from current, past, and prospective members, we worked to make SCUCC membership more accessible. Section membership is now FREE to all student members and to all first time members. For all current and past professional members, it is now only $5.00 to renew your annual professional membership.

To join or renew, please complete the membership application (http://www.div17.org/sections/college-university-counseling-centers/membership/) and then mail your membership fee payment to SCUCC Treasurer, Dr. Jon Brunner:

Dr. Jon Brunner
Director of Counseling and Health Services Florida Gulf Coast University Ft Myers. Fl. 33965

We are working with Division 17 Leadership to institute a sustainable electronic payment process. Until this gets finalized, we appreciate you sending payment to Jon!

The SCUCC aims to:

    1. Encourage, assist, and advance members’ professional development while pursuing careers in university and college counseling centers.
    2. Further the research, training, theory, and practice of counseling psychology among University and College Counseling Center psychologists and trainees.
    3. Be a professional home for all students, psychologists, and affiliates interested in University College Counseling work.

Reasons to join or renew your SCUCC membership include: networking and consulting with UCC psychologists, postdoc fellows, interns, and graduate students; access to SCUCC listserv and biannual newsletter; leadership and service opportunities; APA programming for UCC professionals; APA social and networking events for UCC professionals; and eligibility to apply for SCUCC awards.

Please forward this email to all those possibly interested in SCUCC membership!

Sincerely,

Katherine Colles, Ph.D. (Chair)
