Hello,

My name is Katie O'Neil and I'm a graduate student in the Counseling Psychology doctoral program at Auburn University. I am sending this e-mail to request your participation in a research study on mental health professionals and online dating. The purpose of this research is to explore mental health professionals' current usage of online and mobile dating sites, steps taken to protect information on these sites, and counselors' beliefs regarding the ethics surrounding using online dating services.

In order to participate in this study, you must a) be at least 18 years of age, b) have experience counseling clients, and c) be enrolled in a counseling or clinical related graduate program OR have graduated from one. You can participate in the study regardless of whether or not you have used an online dating service.

The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 15 to 45 minutes to take. Upon completion, individuals will be invited to enter a raffle to win one of five $20.00 Amazon.com gift cards.

This study is supervised by my advisor, Dr. Annette Kluck, and was approved by the Auburn University Institutional Review Board from September 25, 2017 to September 24, 2020 (Protocol number #17-381 EX 1709). If you have any concerns about your rights as a research participant, please contact the Auburn University Office of Research Compliance or the Institutional Review Board by phone (334) 844-5966 or e-mail IRBadmin at auburn.edu<mailto:IRBadmin at auburn.edu>.

I would greatly appreciate your participation! If interested, please click the link below:
