APPIC MATCH NEWS
---

This e-mail addresses two topics:

[1] List of Participating Internships in the APPIC Match
[2] APPIC Match Registration for Applicants

----------

[1] LIST OF PARTICIPATING INTERNSHIPS IN THE APPIC MATCH

National Matching Services Inc. (NMS) has posted the online list of internship programs that are participating in the APPIC Match. This list will be updated regularly as changes occur in program participation.

This list is now available on the NMS web site at:

natmatch.com/psychint<http://natmatch.com/psychint> (click on "Participating Internships")

For sites that are APPIC members, a link has been provided that allows direct access to each site's listing in the APPIC Directory Online (simply click on the "Yes" that indicates the site's APPIC membership status). Please note that the APPIC Directory Online includes ONLY those internship sites that are APPIC members.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Some internship sites that are neither APPIC members nor APA/CPA-accredited are participating in the APPIC Match. Thus, the list of participating internships on the NMS web site includes ALL internship programs in the Match, regardless of whether or not they are APPIC members or APA/CPA-accredited. The list includes each site’s APPIC membership and self-reported accreditation statuses.

For more information about how APPIC membership and/or APA/CPA accreditation may impact one's choice of internship, see:

appic.org/Match/FAQs/Applicants/Eligibility-and-Participation#q4<http://appic.org/Match/FAQs/Applicants/Eligibility-and-Participation#q4>

----------

[2] APPIC MATCH REGISTRATION FOR APPLICANTS

Applicants who are applying to internship programs that participate in the APPIC Match must register for the Match and receive a unique, five-digit Applicant Code Number in order to participate in the Match. Please note that APPIC Match registration is a completely separate process from the AAPI Online registration -- in other words, applicants must register separately for both the AAPI Online AND the APPIC Match.

Applicants register for the APPIC Match online at:

natmatch.com/psychint<http://natmatch.com/psychint>

(Click on "For Applicants - Get Started," then review the section "Register for the Match")

Before you register, please review the information available on the Match web site, including the APPIC Match Policies, the Applicant Agreement, the Schedule of Dates, and other information describing the operation of the Match.

It is recommended that eligible applicants register for the Match by December 1, 2017, although registrations will be accepted after that date (if you register after December 31, 2017, your DCT must explicitly authorize your registration before it will be accepted). Please remember that the Match registration fee is NON-REFUNDABLE and is not transferable to future Matches; thus, if you aren't yet sure that you will be participating in the Match, it may be advisable to delay your Match registration until that decision has been made. Please note that, while it is helpful to sites to include your Applicant Code Number on your AAPI, it is not required for Phase I, and there are other ways for internship programs to easily obtain your Applicant Code Number.

A list of doctoral programs that are eligible to send students into the Match is available at:

natmatch.com/psychint<http://natmatch.com/psychint> (click on "Eligible Doctoral Programs")

NOTE: Only programs listed with "Match & PMVS" under "2018 Applicant Eligibility" are eligible to have their students participate in the APPIC Match.

Please see the links below for details about doctoral program and applicant eligibility to participate in the APPIC Match and Post-Match Vacancy Service:
