Dear Prospective Participant:

I hope that this email finds you well. My name is Taylor Parks, and I am a doctoral candidate in the Counseling Psychology program at Texas A&M University. I am currently in the process of working on my doctoral dissertation, chaired by Dr. Charles Ridley. I am writing you today to ask for your participation in my research study, which aims to explore the use of social support in individual therapy. This study has been approved by IRB at Texas A&M University (IRB Number: IRB2017-0557M).

Your participation in this study is voluntary, and you may withdraw from the study at any time without penalty. Participation in this study will take approximately 10 minutes and will involve the completion of an online survey. All of your responses will be kept anonymous and will only be available to the researchers of this study. In appreciation for your participation, upon completion of the survey, you will have the option of submitting your email address to the researcher to be entered into a drawing for the chance to win one $50 donation to the charity of your choice.
