Subject: Research Request: Graduate Students’ Presence on Social Media
Dear Dr. McWhirter:
Hello! Please consider taking and/or sharing with your faculty and students the study described below. I think this study will be of interest to many students and faculty in counseling psychology, given the ubiquity of social media. Please note that some of the content may be considered potentially triggering and/or offensive, because many of the images included in the survey are either modeled after posts that the investigators have witnessed, or are real posts that have made the rounds on Facebook. We still need both faculty and student participants. Thank you for your consideration!
--
Our research team is conducting a survey on perceptions of Facebook use amongst both faculty and doctoral students in professional psychology. If you are currently a faculty member or doctoral student in professional psychology (i.e., clinical, counseling, or school psychology), please consider taking our brief survey. The survey is expected to take approximately 20-30 minutes, and there are no anticipated risks.
To begin the survey, follow this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/C3NZ9KG
Please also consider sharing this survey with eligible others.
This study has been approved by the Louisiana Tech University Institutional Review Board.
