Hello! I’m sending this on the behalf of the Graduate Student Committee for Section IV (Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Concerns) of Division 35 (Psychology of Women). Our Committee is hoping to organize a conversation hour about making feminist spaces inclusive for transgender and gender nonconforming individuals at the next APA Convention, in August 2017 in Washington, D.C. We are looking for speakers who either have personal experience or research expertise in this area.

If you are interested in speaking at this conversation hour, please let us know by emailing Holly Brown at hmbrow4 at g.uky.edu<mailto:hmbrow4 at g.uky.edu>. We are hoping to include a range of diverse, trans-affirming perspectives, so please include a 300 word participant statement (including information like your specific field, credentials, research and/or activism interests, etc.), areas related to this topic that you would like to focus on, and questions you would want the conversation hour to address. We want to be as inclusive as possible, and hope to receive responses from graduate students and ECPs, as well as established psychologists. Please send your information to us by Friday November 25th at 5 PM so we have time to put together a proposal submission for the conversation hour by APA’s Dec 1st deadline.
