Hola familia!

In behalf of a close friend (Laura M. Pinero) and all undocumented
immigrants, mixed status families, documented and not voting members of
our communities, I wanted to invite each and every single one of you to
join our campaign to support our undocumented community nationwide as
this crucial presidential election approaches.

My colleagues from Dreamers of University of Wisconsin-Madison have
launched the #UndocuElection2016 campaign to raise awareness and show
solidarity with our undocumented siblings and families nationwide. For
many of us and our families this election has been and continues to be
triggering and anxiety provoking, as our lives are once again at the
center of a presidential debate.

The aim of this campaign is to:
1. Educate and break down misconceptions that exist about undocumented
immigrants in the United States.
2. Send support and healing energy to our undocumented communities as
they strive to find balance and peace amidst a possibly life altering
election.

To join the campaign:

  	*
Wear a red shirt (if you can)
	*
Write your message of support to undocumented immigrants
	*
Write #UndocuElection2016 under your message
	*
Hashtag your university or affiliated organization
	*
Take a photo of yourself with the above mentioned

	*

Email photo to dreamersofuwmadison at gmail.com or post it on Facebook,
Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #UndocuElection2016 between now
and Election Day.

_*By sending in your photograph or using the hashtag you are consenting
to it being shared on social media by Dreamers of UW-Madison, if this
presents a problem to you and you do not want us to share it, please let
us know _

CAMPAIGN MESSAGE EXAMPLES: “I am voting for immigrant rights” “No
human being is "illegal”" “I care about you” “I support you”
“You matter”

Please distribute this email with your networks, other list serves,
programs and organizations if possible.
