Dear Student Colleagues,

Please read carefully.

If you are currently on a spring externship and are continuing this summer, you must register for one credit of externship for the summer.

If you are currently on an externship and you are NOT going to register for externship this summer, do NOT continue your externship activities after the last day of the term.

If you are engaging in clinical activities at the Child and Family Center this summer, you will be signing an "internship contract" for that work, your liability is addressed, and you do not need to register for an externship credit for that work.

If you are engaging in paid clinical work this summer, your liability is an issue between you and your employer. If you are engaging in unpaid clinical activity this summer and it is not via an 'internship contract' at the CFC, then you MUST register for an externship credit.

ALL CPSY students engaging in ANY clinical activities must have liability insurance. If not sooner (if you are not engaging in any clinical activities your first year), then before starting your orientations for adult practicum, proof of liability must be placed on file with Becca, and proof of updated continuous coverage must be provided thereafter every time you renew your policy until you have graduated from the program.
If your SSN is included in your liability insurance receipt, be sure to completely cover/redact your SSN except for last four digits. (Please do this with anything you turn in to the program so that we don't have to).

Have an awesome day,

Ellen
