Ethical Considerations for the Information Age: A Qualitative Study of Doctoral Psychology Trainees' Decision Making Using Technology

We invite you to participate in a research study being conducted by investigators from The University of Iowa. The purpose of the study is to investigate how doctoral psychology trainees make ethical decisions and considerations about technology in psychotherapy.

If you agree to participate, we would like you to attend a 60-minute interview with the principal investigator and share your experiences using technology, making ethical decisions, and training in technology. This study will include a brief screening, demographic questions, and a formal interview.

This qualitative study will be conducted over teleconferencing software and include video recording for the purposes of transcription. Participants will be asked to consent to recording, and the videos will be stored in an encrypted, secured file drive only accessible to the research team.

Taking part in this research study is completely voluntary, and participants may terminate at any time.
