<p class="MsoNormal">I am navigating my own feelings and I sense the heightened emotions of others – our faculty, staff, and students – as well. We are processing today through the lenses of our unique and shared experiences. Some are experiencing this in the
silence of our day-to-day work, or some in solidarity with trusted colleagues and friends. As I process my own feelings about today, I have received some lovely messages from individuals in our community. Messages of hope and feelings related to this day.
One that stuck with me was an individual who shared that they loved being about to be authentic and truly “feel” all the feels today. Others expressed gratitude for the community of colleagues they experience. I hope that is true for all and others today.
There is power in community and there is strength in knowing we are not alone. We are moving items along (as you can see from my note below) , but we are also taking gentle care to notice what we need. We may be experiencing a whole range of emotions today
(and the days ahead) and it’s fair to say that we may not all see eye to eye. Those differences make us better and stronger. Reach out to others who may be struggling and be aware of what you need. This is our community; please do find safety, peace, solace,
support, and love here. If you have strength, do share it with someone else. If you need strength, we’ve got you.
