<p class="MsoNormal"><span class="normaltextrun"><span style="color:black;background:white">Sofia Benson-Goldberg is a postdoctoral research associate in the Center for Literacy and Disability Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After
graduating with her masters in Speech and Language Pathology in 2014 she spent three years working with children, adolescents and young adults with significant disabilities and complex communication needs who use augmentative and alternative communication
systems. Inspired by questions that arouse during her clinical practice, Dr. Benson-Goldberg’s research agenda focuses on understanding and improving communication and literacy learning opportunities for people with diverse needs, especially those with complex
communication and extensive support needs. </span></span><span class="eop"><span style="color:black;background:white"> </span></span><b><u><o:p></o:p></u></b></p>
