 Institutions. It was wonderful to connect with deans and academic leaders from across the country who are committed to the academic and research missions of their colleges of education. Some of the topics of the meeting included leading during transition,
 educating during a time of banned books, maintaining a focus on DEI during enormous political pressure from the right and the left, and elevating excellence in teacher preparation. It was energizing to join the national conversations and it was an honor to
 be able to represent our work at the University of Oregon. Having returned from the meeting and hearing many of my colleagues discuss their current context and situations, I feel incredibly lucky to be at the University of Oregon and serving you – our faculty,
 staff, and students. <o:p></o:p></span></span></p>

 on evaluating the effectiveness of the Inclusive Skill-building Learning Approach (ISLA), an alternative to exclusionary discipline. The aim is to improve social determinants of health (SDOH) related to education access, quality, and community context to prevent
