<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">It was wonderful to see so many faculty and staff attend our COE-sponsored workshop on Supporting International Students, held in partnership with the Office of Global Education, the International Students Scholars
Services (ISSS) Office, and the American English Institute (AEI). We had <b>faculty, staff, and academic advisors</b> from across the COE attend the workshop on Monday. I loved seeing some of our academic program coordinators attend (shout out to<b> Angela
Burham</b>) as well as some of our research track faculty (<b>Shawn Irvin, Lina Shanley</b>) to name a few! Each one of us plays a critical role in supporting students. Special thanks to
<b>Dianna Carrizales-Engelmann </b>for helping shape such an informative session, and to our guests - Dennis Galvan (Global Ed), Becky Crabtree (ISSS), and Cheryl Ernst (AEI) – who thoughtfully contributed their expertise to the presentation and discussion.
A recording of this session (and some additional resources) will be shared with our COE community very soon. The genesis of this workshop was directly born out of listening sessions that Dianna and I held in the Fall term with International Students, as part
of our larger DEI committee strategy. We look forward to additional engagement opportunities with faculty, staff, and students during our ongoing listening sessions.
