<p class="MsoNormal">Next week COE faculty will have the opportunity to provide support (through a formal vote) for the EMPL program transition plans that faculty have been working on developing these past few months. I’ve been incredibly impressed with the
collaboration and support that faculty and staff have provided each other during this time of transition. Faculty from across the college have been deeply involved in discussing, planning, and supporting EMPL during this period of transition. My observation
has been that these conversations have been supportive, productive, and inclusive. I thank the COE faculty for engaging in faculty governance
<i>at the highest level</i> during this time. In addition to recognizing and appreciating the scores of faculty who have engaged in meaningful and productive discussions, I wish to extend my gratitude and appreciation to EMPL and EDST Department Heads, Keith
Zvoch and Jenefer Husman, who have collaborated and supported each other’s programs and departments throughout our discussions and planning meetings. I’m also grateful to Assistant Dean Dianna Carrizales-Engelmann, Associate Dean Lillian Dur<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">á</span>n,
EDST business manager Jennifer McGovney, and academic program coordinators who have invested time and energy supporting students and faculty as we prepare for the transition.
