<p class="MsoNormal">At the 6/4 COE faculty and staff meeting I requested that all faculty remain as current as possible on the processes and procedures associated with promotion for your particular position. The materials I promised are listed below and attached
to this email. Please select the policy that pertains to your position (attachment a or b), and I am also including a table that provides a brief overview of the CNTTF positions, ranks, and performance criteria associated with each rank (attachment c). The
equity and inclusion document (attachment e) is really great because on pgs. 2-3 it provides some excellent examples of
<i>some </i>of the ways in which diversity and equity can be incorporated into your research, teaching, and service. Our current CV format is included in the policies but I have separated it here (attachment f) because we really try to have all faculty use
this format regardless of position or rank. Standardizing the CV format aids greatly in the review process at all levels. I know many faculty have their CV in different formats and many research assistants use a resume rather than a CV. Many of us, including
myself, have several different versions of our CV and that is obviously a personal choice. For promotion purposes, however, it really is very important to follow this format as closely as possible while also personalizing it to reflect the nature of your position.
For example, if you are a research assistant who does not publish journal articles or teach courses, those sections should not be included. However, many of the other formatting features can be included and your section on research will include the projects
that you have worked on and the tasks associated with those projects. Similar issues come up in instructional, clinical, and lecturer ranks. Thus, follow the structure and format as closely as possible but tailor the sections to reflect the activities associated
with your position. The last attachment (attachment g) is the slides used at the 6/4 meeting. <o:p></o:p></p>
