In September we received some very direct guidance from faculty and staff to first check within our college for topical experience or expertise before hiring external speakers and presenters. The survey in this email links to a form (shared
on previous occasions this year), that allows faculty and staff within the college to self-identify their experience and/or expertise and interest in leading the college in a topic of shared discourse related to diversity, equity, or inclusion. The intent
is that the college would have access to a joint menu of options for discourse from which faculty, staff, and students can select to engage that incorporates local expertise as well as expertise from around campus and beyond. The scope is broad, and while
there is some immediate interest in the college engaging in a discourse surrounding race and inclusion, all topics are welcome.

We encourage faculty and staff with experience, expertise, and interest to review the survey and submit their topics
