2026–2027 Consumer Protection Research Fund Grant Cycle Now Live

Details about funding opportunities for both students and faculty, as well as application instructions, can be found on the fund’s website<https://law.uoregon.edu/consumer-protection-research-grant>. The application deadline is January 16, 2026.



OVPRI Research Grant Programs

Tenure track and career faculty are invited to apply to OVPRI’s research grant programs. Application deadline is January 21, 2026.

  *   The Faculty Research Award<https://research.uoregon.edu/plan/find-funding/internal-funding-opportunities/faculty-research-awards> program stimulates research, scholarship, and creative projects by providing eligible faculty with up to $10,000 in support for research expenses. Summer salary is allowed up to $7,000.

  *   The Research Seed Grant<https://research.uoregon.edu/plan/find-funding/internal-funding-opportunities/research-seed-grant> program offers support for individual projects (up to $25,000) and larger team-based projects (up to $50,000). The Research Seed Grant supports projects that will lead to external grant funding proposals that reflect a strong return on investment.



Save the Date: Undergraduate Research Symposium 2026

The 16th annual Undergraduate Research Symposium will take place on Thursday May 7, 2026. The symposium registration form will open on the first day of winter term and remain available through April 1st on the Symposium website<https://urds.uoregon.edu/symposium>.



The Undergraduate Research Symposium Canvas Page is now available in the Canvas Commons for import into courses in both the “Community” and “Instructional” instances of Canvas. You can find the page by searching for “Symposium” in the Canvas Commons search bar. This page curates helpful information and resources about the Symposium to guide your students through the registration process and presentation preparations. Please note that you will only see the full formatting and functionality of the Page when imported into your course, including the tab structure.



The Center for Undergraduate Research and Engagement encourages faculty who wish to incorporate Symposium attendance into their curriculum to participate in the Symposium Engagement Survey. Created in collaboration with the Tutoring and Academic Engagement Center (TAEC), the Survey enables faculty to create customized reflection prompts for students attending the Symposium and developing their conferencing skills for meaningful interaction with presenters and mentors. Students scan QR codes installed throughout the event to direct them to their course or cohort and the responses are delivered to the respective faculty.
