Career faculty are invited to attend an information session about promotion on Friday, May 30th from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm in HEDCO 230T/Zoom (lunch provided!). Learn about the promotion process and timelines for AY 2025-26, elements of the career faculty promotion file, and resources for preparing your promotion materials. Although information will be targeted to COE career faculty who are eligible for promotion review in 2025-26, all career faculty are welcome to attend. Spotlights and Recognition
Spencer Foundation Dissertation Fellowship Recipients
Congratulations to doctoral candidates Maya Revell and Sage Hatch for receiving this prestigious award!
Maya Revell (she/her) is a 4th year PhD Candidate in Environmental Studies with a focal concentration in Critical and Sociocultural Studies in Education (advisor: Jerry Rosiek). Broadly, her research focuses on Black relationships to land and water, Black and Indigenous solidarities, and co-creating desirable futures with students.
Sage Hatch (he/him) is a 4th-year PhD Candidate in the Critical and Sociocultural Studies in Education program (advisor: Jerry Rosiek) and a citizen of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz. His scholarship contributes to the literature on curriculum studies, Indigenous survivance in educational systems, theories about non-human agency in contemporary Indigenous studies and philosophy of science, and how we can prepare teachers to better support Indigenous students and communities.

We are pleased to host Dr. Emily Ozer<https://publichealth.berkeley.edu/people/emily-ozer> from the UC Berkely School of Public Health for this year's Leaon Tyler Distinguished Lecture, Advancing Community-Engaged Research with Youth and University Support. Dr.Ozer is a clinical/community psychologist in public health who focuses on promoting the healthy development and empowerment of adolescents, bridging participatory research approaches and prevention science in school-based interventions.

* Shipping: All orders must be placed during the April 28 -May 11 time window. There are 2 shipping options for you to receive your items. You may choose to have it shipped to you directly or you may choose to pick it up and the College of Education. Those orders will be available in HEDCO 130 by the first week of June. An email announcement will be sent when they arrive. There is a $3.00 embroidery fee per item that will be added for pick up items. There is a $10 shipping and embroidery fee for items shipped to you directly.
* If you are a graduating student, please choose the ship to home option to ensure your item(s) go straight to you.
* Refunds: Please be aware that because these items are custom made no refunds or returns will be available. Please consult the size charts carefully when ordering.
