coe-staff: COE IHP Submitted

Dear COE Community,



The College of Education has submitted this year’s single Institutional Hiring Plan (IHP) submission to the Office of the Provost. We have attached this year’s proposal along with my cover letter.



I am grateful Special Education and Clinical Sciences (SPECS) department head, Ben Clarke, for developing what I hope is a strong submission for a line that would fall in either SPED or SPSY, at my request.



I am pleased with our strong submission; however,  I still encourage all of us to remain realistic in our expectations this year. This year, we learned in advance from the Office of the Provost that our college could expect to receive between 0 and 1 approved proposals. This foreknowledge led me to solicit only one submission that I requested to align with a known funding opportunity to increase our chances of success. Since that time, much has changed in our reality, and I am now newly conscious of how grateful I am to have each of you here in the right place, regardless of the outcome of the next submission.



With gratitude again to Ben Clarke for leading the submission and to the faculty and department heads for their input.



We will keep you apprised of updates related to this year’s IHP submission.
