Updates and Upcoming:

Black History Month | Honoring Contributions and Resilience at UO

During Black History Month, we honor the significant contributions of Black Americans to American, Oregon, and UO history. This month prompts reflection on both achievements and the persistent challenges African Americans face, rooted in a history of systemic racism in Oregon. Despite historical injustices, Black students, alumni, faculty, and staff at UO have made enduring impacts, demonstrating resilience and strength. This article<https://www.uoalumni.com/s/1540/21/home.aspx?sid=1540&gid=3&pgid=13006> featured in Around the O<https://around.uoregon.edu/> highlights some of these community members while recognizing the broader influence of Black individuals at UO. The UO Alumni Association expresses gratitude to all Black alumni, faculty, staff, and friends, appreciating their invaluable contributions to the Ducks community, not just this month but every month.
