Dear COE Community,

I recently attended a reception honoring students in our UOTeach program who are Robert Noyce Scholars<https://new.nsf.gov/funding/opportunities/robert-noyce-teacher-scholarship-program-0> and preparing to become middle or high school science or math teachers. This NSF-funded program, led by PI Jenefer Husman<https://education.uoregon.edu/directory/faculty/all/jhusman>, is a collaboration between the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Education at UO and prepares students at the undergraduate level in math or science fields before they complete an intensive summer research experience and our UOTeach<https://education.uoregon.edu/uoteach> program. Our Noyce Teaching Scholars program at UO is a wonderful blend of scientific discovery, inclusive and equitable teaching practices, and innovative STEM education. I loved celebrating our students and seeing many wonderful COE faculty who contribute to the success of this program, including Jenefer Husman<https://education.uoregon.edu/directory/faculty/all/jhusman>, Katie Fitch<https://education.uoregon.edu/directory/faculty/all/kfitch8>, Julie Heffernan<https://education.uoregon.edu/directory/faculty/all/kfitch8>, Jenny Ruef<https://education.uoregon.edu/directory/faculty/all/jruef>, and EDST department head Joanna Goode<https://education.uoregon.edu/directory/faculty/all/goodej>. Thanks for your wonderful work on behalf of STEM education and the next generation of teachers. Lovely to be a part of this<https://twitter.com/uoeducationdean/status/1724990166161563759?s=46&t=iclpXUcYNgD6lDPd00Ct8Q> and celebrate this meaningful training opportunity.

warmly,

Laura Lee
