coe-staff: COE Director of Development update

Dear colleagues,


It is with decidedly mixed emotions that I share with you the news that Kristi Schneider will be leaving the UO to become the Philanthropy Advisor for the McKenzie River Trust. Kristi has long been passionate about the environment as an issue and has her B.S. in Environmental Studies. She will be greatly missed at the College of Education and within University Advancement, but we recognize this is a wonderful opportunity for her and hope you’ll join us in congratulating her on her new position.



Kristi has been with the University for a total of 14 years, starting with Athletics and ultimately running the development team at the College of Education for nearly 4 years. While at the COE, Kristi oversaw the creation of a new endowment for the Sapsik’ʷałá program, the creation of the college’s first scholarship for underrepresented students, many successful DucksGive campaigns, and of course, successfully solicited the principal gift that launched the HEDCO Institute. Kristi embodies all of the core values we hold dear and will be sorely missed.



Kristi’s last day in the office will be June 30. University Advancement will start the search for a new Director of Development immediately.
