Dear COE faculty and staff,
Fall is in the air. Kids are back in school, teachers are back in the classroom, and there are signs all around us that the season is changing. I mean, Costco has holiday décor out ALREADY. Although summer is one of my favorite times of year...especially in Oregon...I can't help but feel the excitement that fall brings. I'm looking forward to seeing many of you at next week's Dean's Welcome Luncheon. I look forward to holding our new employee orientation for the scores of new faculty and staff that have joined our team. And I'm thrilled to be able to welcome our new and returning students back to campus this fall. It's going to be a wonderfully busy year, but I want to make time and space for each member of our community.
We'll have cameo appearances from our president at next week's welcome luncheon and will hear from our provost at the upcoming fall faculty/staff meeting. We have a very supportive administration who is invested in our College and invested in each of us.
I look forward to working with you, celebrating your successes, and working through our challenges.
Let's have a great year.
Happy Fall!
Laura Lee
