Dear COE Community,

The students of SOURCE are pleased to announce that the Voices for Equity exhibit will open tomorrow Thursday May 6th at noon! We will send the link to the exhibit site before noon announcing its availability. Please plan to visit the page in a quiet moment and reflect on the powerful submissions that we have received.

Submissions were invited from across campus and the content that you will see represents the true experiences of faculty, students, and staff here on campus and in our college. Submissions will be presented in a simple format to ensure that the impact of the message is not obscured. Some of the experiences shared by our community colleagues are difficult to read but they reflect resilience, strength, and a commitment to support shared healing.

We offer our gratitude to those who have submitted so far and want to acknowledge the courage it took to submit and the effort necessary to re-live these experiences for the purpose of engaging the community in this opportunity for self-reflection. As part of the college's commitment to engage in discourse around these issues, the students of SOURCE have committed to hold a discussion space on May 14th 11:00 - 12:30. The discussion space will be open to all COE community members. Zoom information will be shared in advance of the session.

I offer my gratitude to the students of SOURCE, for their tireless advocacy for this exhibit, and their perseverance in seeing this exhibit through while working as a team to create the vision for the display. While it had to undergo many changes since it was first conceived over a year ago, we believe the impact is still present. A special thank you to Akhila Nekkanti (PREV) and Felicia Gutierrez (CFT) for their vision and leadership in this work including the curation of the submissions.

We look forward to bringing this display to awareness in the college, but more importantly, we look forward to healing together as we discuss impact, intent, and next steps as a community.

With gratitude for your engagement.

Dianna
