Dear Faculty and Staff,
Yesterday I had the pleasure of speaking with a student reporter for The Daily Emerald. I was gratified to learn from her that our students’ experience this fall was replicated across campus. Our students truly appreciated your efforts to give them a world-class educational experience, including a campus experience. They appreciated you engaging them personally, showing great empathy for their challenges of the last nearly two years, and they lauded you for improving your classroom instruction, that is, recording your lectures so they could access them if they were ill or had to miss class for caregiving responsibilities.
On behalf of our students, thank you for serving our students with distinction this past year. I look forward to joining you to serve them well again in 2022.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Randy
