I am pleased to announce the launch of the COE International Student information and resource webpage<https://education.uoregon.edu/college-education-international-students>. The site can be accessed from the COE landing page and About Us page.

This website is the product of considerable work by Kylie Yihua Post, working in concert with Juls Davis and Emily Barker of our communications team, and with international students. I appreciate the efforts of all.

The information included is comprehensive. You will find a letter from me and my contact information, an introductory webinar by Kylie for international students, and links to a broad array of international student services.

Hi, International Students,

I send you greetings and best wishes from Eugene! I am writing to let you know that, yes, we are still here to serve you and still thriving as one of the best colleges of education in the world. I am particularly impressed by how our faculty and staff are facing all challenges with courage and kindness, are eager to spend more time with you teaching, learning, serving our communities near and far, and to resume our research and development activities.

I am particularly eager to see you, because you enrich our community with your ideas, traditions, and points of view. You give as much to us as we give to you through your enrollment in our academic degree programs.

I take seriously my responsibility for ensuring that you have a successful educational experience with us, ideally, a transformational one. You should expect to take courses with a world-class faculty and obtain a degree that is respected worldwide, and leads to new career and life opportunities. In addition to Kylie’s appointment, we have reinvigorated our instruction, added new technology to our Lokey and HEDCO buildings, hired wonderful new staff and faculty, expanded our HEDCO Clinic, and created a safe and sanitary environment.

Meet Kylie Yihua Post, Interim Program Coordinator

As an immigrant to the United States herself, Kylie strives to help international students and scholars navigate their academic life and achieve their goals at the University of Oregon and beyond.

Since 2013, she has been involved with various international programs, projects and grants under the umbrellas of College of Education and the Division of Global Engagement. Her work has promoted mutual understanding of educational systems, faculty teaching and research partnership, student exchanges and other educational cooperation between the University of Oregon and its global peers.
