Dear College of Education faculty and staff,
Please advise students of this one-credit in person course entitled “Success in On-line learning.” There is no cost and is designed especially to meet the needs of current international students. Please spread the word and advise students to register!
[Advisors are only a click away – Together we’ll get through this. Reach us at 541-346-3211, uoadvising at uoregon.edu, or visit our website at https://advising.uoregon.edu]<http://advising.uoregon.edu/>
Hello all,
A 1-credit, in-person, course open to all students (but international students have been pre-authorized to enroll in it) is now up and running! International students were just notified of this opportunity via social media and will receive an email later today – just checked and about 50 students have already registered. This will likely be communicated to campus more generally next week. In the meantime, as we work with international students it will be good to be sure they are aware of this in-person course opportunity.
Here's the language sent out by Dennis and approved by General Counsel and UO comms to get the word out to students ASAP. It looks like any student-facing language should use this language specifically (essentially a course for all students but created quickly to address the current visa challenges faced by our international students).
The UO is planning to offer in fall term a one-credit in-person course called “Success in Online Learning” that will help you with online learning skills. These skills are important for degree progression for every major, given how much we all rely on online forms of interaction and learning. There is no cost associated with this one credit course (tuition is waived).
I hope you will enroll in one of the six available sections that best fits your schedule. Please visit DuckWeb to enroll in UGST 399 Sp St Online Lrn Strat.
