UO Libraries has an exciting, packed Open Access Week schedule. Come celebrate the amazing OA projects happening around the UO Campus and beyond.

Tuesday, October 22, 10-11 am - Open Textbook Review Workshop
Knight Library DREAM Lab
Faculty participants will learn more about open educational resources (OER), how to locate quality OERs on-line, and how to serve as a peer reviewer. Following the workshop, any faculty workshop attendee who submits a peer review of an OER on the Open Textbook Library will be eligible for a $200 stipend

Wednesday, October 23, 3-4 pm - Open Access Journal Editors' Forum with Opening Remarks from Senate President Elizabeth Skowron

University of Oregon-based journal editors, sponsors, and founders discuss planning, founding, and managing open access journals and talk about working in the open access environment. Appetizers & beverages

Thursday, October 24, 3-5 pm, Film Screening: The Internet's Own Boy: The Story of Aaron Swartz
Knight Library DREAM Lab
The Internet's Own Boy depicts the life of American computer programmer, writer, political organizer and Internet activist Aaron Swartz. The film tells his story up to his eventual suicide after a legal battle, and explores the questions of access to information and civil liberties that drove his work. Popcorn & beverages
