Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to announce that Samantha Shune, Assistant Professor of Communication Disorders and Sciences, received the Ersted Distinguished Teaching Award for early career faculty. The award was given to Dr. Shune at the outset of one of her recent classes (yes, it was a planned surprise) by Provost Banavar, McKay Sohlberg, Laura Lee McIntyre, and myself. Media staff were present to record the event, so we should have photos and a movie to view soon.

I've been impressed by Samantha's teaching and mentoring for some time now. I know that this award is beyond deserved.
