Subject: 2019 Commencement Ceremonies

Hello,
Congratulations to those who are graduating! The main UO Commencement Ceremony and the College of Education Commencement Ceremony will both be held on Monday, June 17, 2019.

COE Ceremony
Our COE ceremony, where you walk across the stage and have your name read, will take place in Matthew Knight Arena from 4 - 6 pm on June 17. Because there is plenty of seating, no tickets are necessary and you can have as many family and friends attend as you wish. However, we would like you to RSVP for the ceremony at https://coe.uoregon.edu/commencement/ That's also where you can find information on what happens during the ceremony, accessible seating information, and information on how to get your regalia.

University Commencement Ceremony
The university's official commencement ceremony happens at the conclusion of spring term each year. This year's ceremony is the morning of Monday, June 17, 2019. All students graduating fall, winter, spring or summer are invited to celebrate with their class and attend the 2019 spring ceremony. Visit https://commencement.uoregon.edu/ for full details, including information about the Duck Grad Parade.

GUEST TICKETS REQUIRED FOR UNIVERSITY COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY: Due to limited capacity, graduates need to register to reserve their seat at the University Commencement Ceremony and secure tickets for their guests. Registration for the ceremony begins on Monday, April 8, 2019. Tickets for guests are FREE but limited. Graduates will be able to reserve up to four guest tickets for the University Commencement Ceremony. The ceremony will be livestreamed online and there will be overflow space to view the ceremony in the Ford Alumni Center Ballroom. Guest tickets are NOT required for department ceremonies where graduates formally cross the stage and are presented with diploma covers. Visit https://commencement.uoregon.edu/ for full details.

Grad Week at the Duck Store
The Duck Store will have a Grad Week (April 8-11) where you will be able to purchase your cap and gown, diploma frames, invitations, and that type of thing. Regalia costs will be posted on the Duck Store website by the beginning of April.

Get Your Diploma
Remember, in order to receive your diploma from the Registrar's Office (these are mailed about 6 weeks after the end of the term in which you declare to graduate) you need to declare your intent to graduate -- For more information on receiving your degree from the university, visit the University of Oregon Registrar's webpage (students may participate in the ceremonies whether or not they are completing their degrees Spring term):
Graduate Deadline: Friday, April 12, 2019, apply at the Graduate School website
Undergraduate Deadline: Sunday, April 28, 2019, apply using Duckweb

Please feel free to stop by my office at HEDCO 230D or call/email me with your questions.

Thanks,
Lisa
