coe-staff: Passing of Dean Marty Kaufman

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I have the sad duty of informing you of the passing of Dean Marty Kaufman. His tenure was long - he was dean of the COE from 1992 to 2005 - and his influence, enduring. His initiation of the fund raising effort that led to the construction of our state-of-the-art HEDCO building constitutes just one example of his legacy. I offer my personal condolences to all who knew and worked with Marty.
