Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce Stephany's receipt of this prestigious and highly competitive award. Only thirty-five award recipients were selected from a national pool of over 400. Stephany is a student in our Critical and Sociocultural Studies in Education Ph.D. program in the Department of Education Studies, and she is a Sapsik'?alá teacher education program alum.

The fellowship will support her dissertation entitled, "Centering the Indigenous in Science Education: Possibilities and Limitations of Decolonizing the Academy". As Stephany's advisor and dissertation chair, Joanna Goode, noted, "This is an incredible accomplishment and reflects the quality and importance of her scholarship."

Wishing Stephany great success with this work,

Randy
