Hello,
We've had a number of questions in the last few days in regards to Commencement, so I thought I'd put out what information I have at this time. The main UO Commencement Ceremony and the College of Education Commencement Ceremony will both be held on Monday, June 18, 2018.
Our COE ceremony, where you walk across the stage and have your name read, will take place in Matthew Knight Arena from 4 pm - 6 pm on June 18. Because there is plenty of seating, no tickets are necessary and you can have as many family and friends attend as you wish.
The main UO ceremony will take place starting at 9 am (although student participants will line up earlier than that). Last year, the university began a new system where this event requires tickets and they will be doing so again this year. They will notify students of the process and I'll pass along any information I receive. The most updated information will be available here: https://commencement.uoregon.edu/tickets
The Duck Store will have a Grad Week at the beginning of April where you will be able to purchase your cap and gown, diploma frames, invitations, and that type of thing. We have a Commencement website which will be updated as soon as we receive information from the main UO commencement office. This should be by mid-March at the latest. The website is located at: https://education.uoregon.edu/dean-office/commencement I'll be sending out an email to all COE students when we get updated information posted on the site.
Until then, feel free to stop by my office at HEDCO 230D or call/email me with your questions.
Thanks,
Lisa
