Subject: New $32.6 Million Five-Year Grant Received today

Dear Leadership,

Our Educational and Community Supports (ECS) research unit within our College of Education just received notice of this new federal research award for $32,599,998. ECS will provide technical assistance to the nation's schools for the implementation of the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program, which is currently used in 22,000 schools.

This latest research award is the result of decades of research and development success. The ECS unit has been operating at the University of Oregon since 1972.

I congratulate our extraordinary ECS faculty and staff, our PBIS collaborators around campus and the world, and the immediate past and present directors of ECS, Professors Rob Horner and Kent McIntosh on this fitting acknowledgement of the importance of their work.
