Looking for an additional course for Fall 2018? Encourage COE undergraduates to take EMPL’s new video case study course on professional development: EDLD 411 (CRN 17307). Students will learn habits of coaching, mentoring, and professional development for successfully leading teams and groups in social systems.
--Interesting: New video case study design shows practice in action.
--Worthwhile: Piloted this summer to excellent reviews. “Enjoyed the 411 class and learned a lot,” said one student. “Awesome!” said one student.
--Flexible: Fully asynchronous format allows students to study anyplace, anytime.
--Experiential Learning: Students design their own case study and receive feedback.
--Biggest complaint? Students wanted even more case studies to learn!
Come join us for fall! If you are looking for a space in a lower division course, we also have a few spots still available in EDLD 211, Exploring Leadership (CRN 17306). Learn about promising models for leadership in social systems, focus on developing your leadership strengths with StrengthsFinder workshops, and enjoy a guest speaker series featuring leadership in the community, leadership in the university, and leadership in organizations. If you want to make change, you may have to lead it -- learn how! UO COE Leadership + Administrative Skills (LEADS)
