CHANGE OF SPEAKER: Educational Methodology, Policy, and Leadership (EMPL) is pleased to announce the following colloquium, part of this year's Baney Fund Speaker Series on Leadership:

"Leadership in the University"

As part of EMPL's newly approved LEADS (Leadership + Administrative Skills) minor for UO undergraduates, three colloquia will be held this fall exploring leadership in the community, leadership in organizations, and leadership in the university. Sponsored by the Baney Fund Speaker Series, the third colloquium on November 15 will host Amy Hughes Giard, Director of First-Year Interest Groups at the University of Oregon. Amy Giard will speak on the theme of leadership in universities and discuss her leadership journey, including her work building more than fifty First-Year Interest Groups and 8 Global Bridge International FIGs at UO, leading initiatives to recruit and train faculty instructors, and leadership development for undergraduate peer mentors.
