coe-staff: IES Awards

Greetings COE Faculty and Staff:

Please join me in congratulating our colleagues, Drs. Brigid Flannery, Kent McIntosh, and Rhonda Nese, of the Educational and Community Supports (ECS) research and outreach unit who received pre-award notices that IES (Institute of Education Sciences) is funding their good ideas and research. A brief description of these awards follows:

Brigid Flannery: Goal 2 award entitled, "Adaptation of an Effective Tier II Behavior Intervention for Students in Secondary Schools." Three-year (2018-2021) award for $1,399,904.

Rhonda Nese: Goal 2 award entitled, "Development of an Instructional Alternative to Out-of-School Suspension Learning Alternative (ISLA)." Three-year (2018-2021) award for $1,399,962.

Kent McIntosh: Goal 1 award entitled, "Identifying Factors Predicting Implementation and Sustainability of Tier 2 and 3 Behavior Support Systems." Four-year award (2018-2022) for $1,399,970.
