coe-staff: New Leadership for CEQP

Dear COE Community,
It is my pleasure to announce that effective January 2019, Dr. Heather McClure will serve as the new Director for the Center for Equity Promotion (CEQP).

Heather is currently Associate Director for CEQP and a Research Assistant Professor affiliated with the Educational Methodology, Policy, and Leadership Department. Heather is a cultural anthropologist who received her Ph.D. in Performance Studies from Northwestern University. She has over 15 years of experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research on the sociocultural determinants of health among U.S. Latino communities and in Central America. We know that CEQP will continue to grow and flourish under her leadership.

Please join me, Dean Randy Kamphaus, and Knight Professor Charles Martinez in congratulating Heather on her appointment to this important leadership role.
