coe-staff: Our Space installation - En La Celebración de Los Niños (April 30)

Dear College Staff:

It is my pleasure to announce that the next Our Space installation is titled, En La Celebración de Los Niños, and it is dedicated to Lillian Winkler-Rios. Lillian was a part of our College from 2003 to 2017 and served as the College Marketing Design Coordinator. Her talent, intelligence, kindness, generosity, and humor made us better as a College and she continues to be missed. Lillian recalled fondly the annual celebration of Children's Day (El Día Del Niño), which was celebrated in her home country of Mexico on April 30 every year. Prior to her death, Lillian encouraged College leadership to celebrate the children who we serve and worked with staff to express her vision. It is our pleasure to realize Lillian's vision with this Our Space installation.

In honor of Lillian Winkler-Rios, and the children and families that our College serves, we have begun to hang pictures in the HEDCO building that feature our daily work with children and families.
