Dear Faculty,

First, welcome back! I hope that those of you conducting research related to RESILIENCE will find a few moments during this busy time to send me a brief paragraph describing your work. As was the case for my recent NEUROSCIENCE request for information, kindly send me a note (and a copy to Dianna) including your name and faculty rank along with the description.

Resilience is being defined broadly across campus to include, for example, buildings designed to absorb damage without failure. Given our general focus on preparing individuals, groups, schools, and communities to adjust to change and recover from threat or injury, I can envision work from many of our faculty being relevant. I will use this information to represent your work in future cross-campus conversations about a potential university-wide resilience initiative. And I will report back as I learn more from upcoming meetings.

A response by April 10 will be appreciated.

Gratefully,

Randy
