The following message is from the Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development, Dr. Edward J. Kame’enui, and Dr. Elizabeth Skowron, Professor, Department of Counseling Psychology and Human Services (CPHS):

Dear Colleagues:

The College of Education is hosting a NIH Mock Grant Review Workshop and we invite you to save the date—April 18, 2018.

The purpose of the workshop is to provide faculty with the opportunity to observe volunteer COE faculty researchers engage in a “Mock Panel” to discuss and review a NIH grant proposal. Following a brief introduction to the NIH submission and review process, including a brief orientation to the types of NIH grants (e.g., R01, R21, R03), a panel of experienced COE faculty who serve as NIH reviewers will participate in a mock study section to determine a score for the grant proposal and discuss recommendations for funding. Audience questions and discussion will follow. The NIH grant proposal to be reviewed will be sent in advance of the workshop to attendees who have registered for the workshop.

SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday, April 18th from 3:30 to 5:00 pm
WHERE: Gerlinger Lounge; Light refreshments will be served.
MORE details to follow!
