coe-staff: HEDCO Clinic advancements & transitions

Dear Faculty & Staff:

As I end my service as Interim Director of the HEDCO Clinic, I want to thank the HEDCO Clinic staff and Taskforce with whom I have worked this past year and to welcome Wendy Machalicek as the new Interim Clinic Director.  Below are just a few of the new advancements made during the past 12 months.  These advancements complement the long-standing strengths of the Clinic staff, faculty, and training activities.


-        The HEDCO Clinic has become HIPAA and FERPA compliant.

-        A new Clinic website was created https://hedcoclinic.uoregon.edu/  Special thanks to Dane Ramshaw and Jessica Roberts for their talent.

-        Pilot services and data collection were launched for an interdisciplinary Autism Assessment Family Navigation Model.

-        Funding procured by the Dean and Development to hire a new HEDCO Clinic Director.

-        Launch of adult LD/ADHD services that provide doctoral students with a new training opportunity.

-        Launch and integration of dyslexia and dyscalculia services into Clinic.

-        Growth of tutoring services in the Clinic.

TASKFORCE MEMBERS:  Tiffany Brown, Krista Chronister, Lindsay Elliott, Chris Krabiel, Deanna Linville, Wendy Machalicek, Jennifer Meyer, Lalla Pudewell, McKay Sohlberg, Jeff Woodbury.

For the coming year, the Dean's Office and Clinic leadership will focus on insurance billing and the  research capacity of the Clinic.
